Having a pool in your backyard can be a great way of enjoying summer family fun, and children love it. However, a pool does present a safety hazard: nearly a thousand children drown every year. In fact, in some areas, drowning is actually the top cause of accidental deaths for children under four years old. However, this swimming pool safety alarm can add another level of child safety to your pool beyond a fence or pool cover. The alarm features a motion sensor that goes off if anyone enters the pool. The alarm emits a pulsating tone on both the main unit and on the remote unit, which you can place up to 200 feet from the pool. You’re sure to hear it no matter where you are. The device can easily be put into sleep mode when you want to enjoy a nice swim. Once you’re done, the push of a button turns the alarm back on, and as long as it is plugged in or has a 9 volt battery in it, the alarm cannot be completely deactivated.
