Steps On How To Build Larger Arm Muscles
July 8, 2010 4:35 pm ActivitiesIf you want to build up your arm muscles, you should think about the exercises that are good for that purpose. Usually most people like getting big arms for cosmetic reasons more than for practicality.
It is truer than true that many folks see big arms as being more attractive than the little or flabby arms. There are certain kinds of exercise that you can do to enlarge your arms.
For biceps, the exercise to develop these muscles is with the common dumbbell curls. If you are looking to grow your arms, you should use more weight and do low reps.
All this means is that what you will be doing is lifting the most weight that you can handle for the most times you can handle. For most people, this will be around three to five times. If you are doing ten or more at a time, then the weight is too light, and you won’t build bulky muscles.
Moving on to the triceps, there are several things that you can do. First, using the same dumbbell, take it and hold it vertically between both hands.
Next, hold it above your head and slightly behind your head. Bring it down slowly beyond the bottom of the back of your head and move it back up. this is one rep. You should do this with a heavy enough weight that you can only do this a few times at once. This will help bulk up the triceps.
Beyond arms, it’s time to look at your shoulders and forearms. Starting with the shoulders, consider doing butterfly lifts. This includes holding the weights by your sides while you lift the weights up and outward at the same time you keep your arms straight.
As far as forearms go, the thing to do is a reverse curl. What this entails is instead of holding your arms like you would for a normal curl, you want to keep your hands pointed down as you hold your weight. Then do the lifting with your forearm and that’s a reverse curl.
Follow these simple suggestions and they will help you to build muscle in your arms fast.
