Continuous Improvements

You’ve seen the phrase used before,  probably in connection with Japanese auto makers – but the concept of continuous improvement is also alive and well when it comes to products designed to keep your home and your children safe.

One improvement is in the increasing portability of products like baby and nursery monitors – we’ve come a long way from the original monitors and the new products allow us to see and hear in color or black and white and if you’re so inclined you can even add an IP camera and view your sleeping child from anywhere in the world.

We’ve improved in terms of child tracking systems – increasing the range, making the units smaller and bringing the prices down.  Soon I expect to see a very portable and very affordable GPS system that will look like a Mickey Mouse watch or sneaker tag.

We’ve brought the prices way down on door opening and motion tracking monitors to be used as swimming pool alarms and finally we’ve taken products like personal protection alarms and created small safety whistles that our kids can easily keep with them on a camping trip, just in case they wander of the portage trail – not that kids would every wander.
